Race Report by Uwe Baldes
XRAY has taken its first victory in the Western German Championship 1/10-200 nitro when Freddy Sådhoff won Round 4 at Bad Breisig in early July. The 2009 European ‶B※ Champion finished first in the 30-minute final with a one lap lead over Bernd Rausch in 2nd place. Sebastian Buerge finished 3rd by another lap down.

The final race didn´t go so easily for Freddy Südhoff because of some engine stoppages. So the battle for victory with Bernd Rausch was close for a while with ever-changing positions even though the XRAY driver was faster and more consistent.

In the qualification Freddy SĂĽdhoff demonstrated his outstanding performance. With his Orcan-powered NT1 he was the only driver to complete 19 laps in 5 minutes so he achieved a clear TQ in the field of 35 competitors. His fastest laps in the heats and in the final were about 0.3sec better than the best of the other competitors. During practice on Saturday, Freddy SĂĽdhoff was supported by Dirk Wischnewski.

Generally it was a strong showing of the XRAY/SMI team in the highly-competitive Western German Championship. Freddy SĂĽdhoff was accompanied by fellow XRAY drivers Joerg and Uwe Baldes for the final race. The brothers achieved 2nd in each of their semi-finals and finally Joerg Baldes brought his NT1 home in 6th place while his brother Uwe took 8th place.
